Bhavesh Chauhan is a music video director and cinematographer based in Vancouver, Canada, who also works under the stage name Crispy Cuffs.
He was born in New Delhi, India, and spent most of his childhood in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he began making stop-motion videos with a DV camcorder. He later started making live-action short films as a teenager once he moved to Calgary, Canada, in 2006.
In high school, he took Drama classes and also met Bhaveek N Makan & Jashan Makan. He joined their production company, Rendering Glint Films, in 2008 and his passion for filmmaking grew as he began to involve more of his friends in their projects. He spent the next 6 years producing, acting, writing, editing, and directing a number of independent web productions ranging from shorts, music videos, web series, and feature films while in school.
He attended the University of British Columbia Okanagan graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering in 2014, however, after graduating he decided to pursue filmmaking full-time.
Jewel Fools (2014) was one of his first major productions to gain public recognition after being featured at the Calgary International Film Festival in 2014 for which he was the executive producer and assistant director.
In 2017, he moved to Vancouver and honed his skills in cinematography and music video projects.
