Melissa Haas is an actress and filmmaker from Atlanta, Georgia with mixed Latina and Jewish heritage. She has trained in sketch, improv (The Groundlings), and stand-up comedy (with Lace Larrabee). She has delighted audiences with onscreen performances opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, Aaron Eckhart, Scott Bakula, Necar Zadegan, Danielle Alonso and Matt Czuchry, as well as appearing in many commercials with Shaquielle O'Neal. As the creator of the indie series, #PrettyFunny, and the award-winning romantic comedy short, Terminal, she focuses her original work on shoving joy into life's worst and most awkward moments.
Melissa grew up riding and showing horses competitively, and today she uses her equine background to volunteer at a hippotherapy program that helps young participants heal through physical and occupational therapy, as well as mental health services.
She is also a big fan of donuts, dogs, dinosaurs, rainbows, and reproductive rights (in no particular order).
