Rob started Martial Arts in 1974 at the age of 14. He gained his first black belt a few years later and went on to win the title of British Sankukai Karate Champion for five years.
He went on to study several Martial Arts: Thai Boxing, Keysi Fighting Method, Jeet Kune Do, Combat Submission wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo, in which he gained a plethora of black belts in most of them on the way.
He now owns a full time Martial Arts Academy in the West Midlands.
While coaching the amazing Jo McLaren (A leading stunt coordinator in film today) and working for Crispin Layfield he was asked to choreograph fights in the show Hunted (2012) with the superb actress Melissa George starring.
Rob has since gone on to coach and choreograph fight scenes for Helena Bonham Carter, Boyd Holbrook, Anya Taylor-Joy, Kate Mara and Michelle Yeoh.
Rob brings a passion and patience to his work and a thorough knowledge of the Martial Arts to everyone he coaches in the world of film.
