Alessandro is a film director and writer known for Transgressing (2023) and How Scared She Was (2020). He started his career in News Television and directing TV programmes, including British TV show Coast2Coast (2015). He worked in Cinecittà in the production of feature film Pasolini, la verità nascosta (2013). His first short film Masquerade (2014) gained great recognition in the horror community due to its freshness and relevance. After a career in directing television, Alessandro moved to narrative filmmaking, directing the photography for Luke Collins' BBC New Creatives: Swiped (2019), which received over half a million views in the opening week across iPlayer and social platforms, and Cappuccino (2018), a Channel 4 Creative Arts production. Alessandro wrote and directed the short film How Scared She Was (2020), which received two notable festival nominations and several great selections. His latest film Transgressing (2023) has overwhelmingly reached a high selection rate at international film festivals, winning several sixteen awards, among which Best Lead Actress, Best Film and Best Original Score. Alessandro is a member of BFI Network x BAFTA Crew in London and lectures in Directing Film, Documentary, and Film Production for leading British universities.
