Born in Schwerin, GDR, with half-Romanian roots. Grew up in Berlin and decided to make films at the age of 14 after reading J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit". Unsuccessfully applied to Berlin film school "dffb" and started studying physics instead. Got pulled back into film and music, dropped out of physics after four years to pursue his career in film and music. Released some music with major studios like Universal and Warner Music before shooting his first feature film "Plan B", which premiered at Sitges in 2016 before getting picked up by 20th Century Fox for a nationwide release in Germany in 2017.
