The film captures the story of the 2008 tragedy on K2 and contains some of the most engaging life dramas that took place on the mountain during the 2008 season. The material is unique because Fredrik was on the mountain in person. It contains HD footage of the entire climbing season and the tragedy that took 11 lives. There are interviews with three members of the 2008 International K2 Expedition and the compelling perspective of climbers who were intimately involved with the events that unfolded during the summit attempt. It also includes an interview with Wilco Van Roojen, who survived two nights in the Death Zone on K2. The documentary weaves together the footage taken on the mountain with the interviews to tell the story of the events that unfolded. What happened on K2 at the beginning of August of 2008 is one of the worst accidents and human disasters in the history of climbing. 11 people died, leaving many friends and family members behind. Fredrik recorded the journey with the ambition of making a documentary film about climbing one of the toughest mountains in the world. Instead of an adventurous and inspiring film, it became a document of human tragedy. The film contains no reconstruction of the events and is only material recorded on the mountain.

Fredrik was raised in Närke in Sweden. As a youth, he was terrified of heights, and scared of death but defied the status quo and has since then has set a Guinness World Record (fastest to climb the highest mountain on every continent), climbed seven 8000-m peaks inc. Mount Everest. He has filmed/produced adventure documentaries screened on SVT, TV4, NatGeo, and Discovery. He is writing scripts in the genres of adventure, sci-f, thriller, drama, and mystery.
