Christine Dennett was born in Utah with ancestry of mixed heritage from
her father, James Ramos, Spanish, Phillipines, and mother Carolyn Ramos
European, Cherokee nation, and the turbulent changes within her
lifetime of the 1960s and 70s presented a pallet of emotional
challenges she expressed through her art. She is registered with the
Cherokee nation making her an official American Indian In the 1999.
Christine's art education and career started in 1972. During this time
she was given the name, "Kesara", meaning beautiful flower, by a
Vietnamese Monk, Thien Thic An, whom ordained her into Buddhism. Today
this name represents her art. When she graduated high school she
attended Cal State University receiving her primary art education. She
married Mark Dennett in a little Buddhist temple in Hollywood January
1980 and is still happily married birthing two children, Mudita and
James. She is now a grandparent to Mason James G. In 1982 Christine
started contracting work out as an illustrator for authors and
documentary films amassing over 300 original illustrations. Her art
career expands outward to include conceptual art creations for product,
set and costume design.
