Michelle Darkin Price

Michelle Darkin Price is an English actor recently nominated for Best Actress in Leading Role, playing Evelyn in the BFI-funded LGBT+ film A Different Place. Michelle's early years were spent living in greater London with her parents and sister. Although she acted as a youngster, she went on to study engineering and business at Nottingham Trent University. She then spent a number of years in the corporate and engineering sectors, finally leaving to set up her Eco business The Green Box Shop, which she ran for a further five years. Since returning to acting, she has trained with various teachers including Mel Churcher (acting for film/TV), Sarah Victoria (PEM) alongside others via Spotlight, The Actor's Guild in London and the Nottingham Actor's Workshop. She then completed a two-year Meisner training at the highly regarded Studio13 in Sheffield, where she later became a director. She is also one of the founding Leadies, a group of female-identifying Midlands-based actors. She is represented by the lovely Robert Wilkinson of Red Talent Management and has acted in feature and short films alongside commercials, corporates and music videos. She does voiceover and voice acting and has a home-based studio. She currently lives with her husband, three teenagers, Rosie the dog and increasing numbers of fish!
