Florian Rummel

Prior to his actors training and career, Florian Rummel took part in
free theatre groups and was a singer and guitar player in a Ska band
and various ensembles.
During his community service Florian staged a theatre project with deaf people. He and the cast were invited to perform at the German Youth Theatre Meeting.
During his studies in Graz (2000 - 2004) Florian performed at the Grazer Schauspielhaus and worked as a news reader for a local radio station.
In 2004 Florian Rummel started his engagement at the Theater Rostock with the role of Gerenot in the Nibelungs, followed, among others, by: Lysander/Thisbe in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Roller in The Robbers, Achilles in Penthesilea, Ferdinand in Intrigue and Love, Mackie Messer in The Three Penny Opera, Norman in Ladies Night, Wilhelm in Grimm's Fairy Tales for Children, Horatio in Hamlet and Officer O'Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace.
In the 2007/08 season Florian switched to the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater in Schwerin, where he played Andres in Woyzeck, Haemon in Antigone, Chance Wayne in Sweet Bird of Youth, Jonathan Harker in the Musical Dracula (Peter Dehler), Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. Since 2010 Florian Rummel has been living in Berlin as an ensemble member of the Grips Theater, where he performs in various plays, e.g. Big Deal? (David S. Craig), Julius und die Geister (Volker Ludwig), Die besseren Wälder (Martin Baltscheit), Pünktchen trifft Anton (Volker Ludwig based on Erich Kästner's no-vel), Kebab Connection (Anno Saul) and Durst (Thomas Ahrens). As of the 2013/2014 season he will join the ensemble at the Schauspiel Stuttgart.
Florian has appeared in short films by Götz Spielmann, Barbara Albert, Stefan Fent and Christian Schwochow. In 2012 he appeared in David Wnendts movie feature Feuchtgebiete.
