Laura Rose Kennon was born on June 17 in Napa, California to her mother who worked in the printing and reproductions industry and her father who was a CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist at the time. She is of Irish, Italian, and Norwegian descent. She and her sisters were raised by her mother and had a humble upbringing in a difference social and economic class as the greater majority of her hometown.
Shy in her early years, dance, sports, and improvised comedic outbursts for her classmates helped Laura break out of her shell. In high school she performed daily morning announcements while incorporating comedic and musical skits with her best friend. She choreographed dances for homecoming rallies, parades, and talent shows. Film and television had an immensely positive impact on her emotional processing of complex traumatic early life events, and the craft was appreciated by her family growing up, often making award ceremonies eventful evenings. Despite being encouraged by an acting coach at her high school to join theatre or pursue training, it wasn't until 2011 when she moved to the East Bay Area that she began formal learning in acting for film and television. She studied with First Take Acting School and Kathy McGraw Studios. She attended classes at MadeUp Theatre for improvisational training, was a member of traveling improv troupe She's British, and was a Friday night regular performer at American Improv Theatre in San Jose. She signed with a local talent agency, and began auditioning. Laura performed background and featured acting roles for films and television shows to start, and eventually performed in scripted live shows, booked local and national commercials, as well as performed various lead and supporting roles in locally shot short films.
In 2016 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career further and continue her learning at acting schools like AMAW, The Green Room Acting Studio, UCB, and was part of Improv troupe Ugly as Sin performing at fanaticSalon in Culver City under the direction of Jeff Michalski of Second City.
