Avery acts in plays and films, improvises, clowns, and writes dark comedy. As an actor he has performed in California, New York, and all over New England. Recent credits include "Much Ado About Nothing" with Actors Shakespeare Project in Boston, "Paradise Lost and Found" and "Turn of Events," in Manhattan, and lots of comedy shows around NYC.
He's also a piano player and an in demand music director of improvisational theatre. Originally from Boston, Avery has played all over New England in bands, and soon you can catch him again behind the keys for the People's Improv Theatre, The Commedia Company, or The Story Pirates NYC. He has studied acting with Philippe Gaulier in France; the late Gary Austin, founder of The Groundlings, in LA; and he earned a B.A. in Theater Arts from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA.
