Billy Chengary

Billy Chengary is an actor and filmmaker hailing from Darien, Illinois. His foray into acting began with a theatrical triumph-landing the role of Oliver Twist in his middle school's production. Chengary's performance in Oliver! marked the inception of a passion that would shape his future in the arts.

A turning point in his acting journey occurred when he was scouted by Jane Alderman, a notable casting director. This chance encounter led to Chengary's early venture into commercials, his first being an on-screen role in an ad for Trolli Gummy Worms. This experience fueled Chengary's enthusiasm to become a film actor.

Chengary's transition to film included notable roles such as Scott in the campy horror flick Killer Piñata, Scott in Another Yesterday, and Sam in Year One. His on-screen endeavors also brought him under the mentorship of Janusz Kaminski as they collaborated on a commercial. Chengary's commitment to meaningful roles and diverse characters continues to shape his artistic journey, as well as collaborating with like-minded artists.

Billy now spends his time both in front and behind the camera, diving into writing and directing and continues to act when the opportunities present themselves.
