K.D. Dávila is an Oscar nominated Mexican-American screenwriter from Los Angeles. After graduating with a degree in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University, she earned her MFA in Writing for Screen and Television from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She was a Universal Pictures Emerging Writers Fellow, and a Film Independent Project Involve Fellow. Her screenplay for the feature film Emergency won her the 2022 Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance. She directed and co-wrote Please Hold, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
