Manu León is a cinematographer based in Spain. From a young age, with a camera always around his neck, he captured everything that sparked his curiosity. Although he earned a degree in computer engineering and worked in the field for several years, he eventually discovered a deeper passion: storytelling through the lens. This revelation led him to shift his career path and fully dedicate himself to cinematography, completing his studies at ESCAC Film School in Barcelona.
In addition to his work as a cinematographer, his engineering background has enabled him to explore new frontiers in cinematography research, including virtual production and the design of the first-ever device to measure light softness.
He was selected by the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) for their Vision Mentorship Program 22/23, which gave a significant boost to his career and reinforced his belief in his work.
