Stacie Gottsegen is the Senior Travel Editor and Celebrity Correspondent for Traveler Publications. As a contributor, she enjoys learning more about the culture of the cities and personal passions of the subjects she writes about. There's not a household name you can drop that Stacie hasn't worked with during her 20 years in variety, news magazine, talk and reality television.
Stacie's introduction to TV was at NBC and its illustrious "Page Program". As a tour guide - "we're walking, we're walking..." her voice echoed through the network halls in beautiful downtown Burbank. Showing visitors important Hollywood landmarks such as Johnny Carson's parking space and the set of Wheel of Fortune paid the bills, but Stacie had higher goals.
She moved on to In Living Color where she worked closely with the producers as a production coordinator. Stacie then moved to Star Search where she earned her stripes as a talent associate. On a daily basis, Stacie would cast contestants, produce various musical segments and worked closely with Ed McMahon, always trying to "keep him happy".
Stacie moved into late night television on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno as a Talent Associate. She stayed with Jay for 5 years...but she wanted more...
She then took her talents to cable television when she joined E! Networks. As a talent executive in the original programming department, Stacie beat out the stiff syndicated competition by scoring exclusive interviews with many celebrities and broke dozens of news stories. When she wasn't feeding the network shows with A-list talent, Stacie was busy creating new shows for E!, its 300 partner networks around the world and its sister networks Style and G4. Stacie was a key player in developing the biography series Celebrity Profile, as well as Revealed With Jules Asner, The Anna Nicole Smith Show, E! News Live!,Mysteries & Scandals, TV Tales and the pop-culture phenomenon True Hollywood Stories. She also oversaw talent and casting for dozens of E! pilots including shows featuring Kathy Griffin, Monique and Heidi Fleiss among many others.
Stacie returned to NBC Universal in 2003 as entertainment producer for the network's flagship newsmagazine Dateline NBC. Stacie led the show's breaking news coverage of such stories as the death of Ronald Reagan, the Haditha Massacre, the Scott Peterson-Amber Frey connection, Hurricane Katrina and the 2005 Michael Jackson child molestation trial.
Stacie was awarded an Emmy for her work on Entertainment Tonight and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Breaking News Story for her NBC special, Signing Off: Johnny Carson. She was also was nominated for a GLAAD Award for her story on Melissa Etheridge's courageous fight with breast cancer.
As an independent producer, Stacie has enjoyed success working on such programs as CBS THIS MORNING, DR. PHIL, HARDBALL, MSNBC specials and BLOOMBERG TV's GAMECHANGERS. She has also worked with many cable networks including STARZ, PBS, CNN and REELZ Channel.
When she is not working, Stacie enjoys cooking, is an avid food blogger and is trying to master the moves in her weekend PLYOJAM class. She also loves discovering new artists and traveling. Born in Los Angeles and a true "valley girl", Stacie now resides in Brentwood with her fiancé, writer/director Greg Gieras and their rescue cat Esme.
