Aswan Harris is an American actor, voice over actor, stunt performer, & a Marine Corps Veteran. He is known for playing a War Room Intern alongside the likes of Kevin Costner in Draft Day. Other credits include a remake of the critically acclaimed, Night of the Living Dead (2019), Rachel's 9th Inning (2015), Bachelor Lions (2018), 9-1-1 (2018), The Land (2016), Mauraders (2016) and With This Ring (2015).
Aswan is the baby of six children. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. There he advanced through the ranks to finish his active duty service as a sergeant (E5) before his honorable discharge which resulted in him trading in his battle dress uniform for the endless wardrobe changes on Hollywood sets.
Aswan's acting career began in 2006 when he auditioned for his first stage play 'Out of Order' which he says he will never forget and be forever indebted to it because of the rawness of being on stage. He says: "It taught me how to be in the moment, I wasn't even a reformed version of myself, Aswan didn't even exist while being on that stage, I could only think about creating a performance that the audience could appreciate and in order for me to do that, I had to embody the character in its entirety." Aswan did several plays obtaining both leading and supporting roles before he got his quote on quote big break in the film industry. In 2014 he was privileged to observe and work alongside some seriously talented individuals (that's an understatement) that he admired in feature film Draft Day. What he remembers most about being on that set was how everyone treated each other like the good side of the family. "Everyone was happy to be on set or at least that's what it felt like, and I was able to sit in the room next to director Ivan Reitman and script supervisor Jayne-Ann Tenggren as Kevin Costner, Timothy Simons, David Ramsey, Wade Williams, and Denis Leary went through their blocking and scene discussions; he says observing that was like a year of acting schooling.
