Fanourios Kazakis was born in Athens, Greece. From a young age, he started filming and taking pictures with his father's Hi8 and SLR cameras. Growing up, Fanourios started using digital cameras, being caught in the middle of the dSLR revolution. He studied Film and Media at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, where he graduated with Honors.
Kazakis started working in the industry as a director while still studying at the University. There, he realized his passion for Cinematography and since then, he pretty much works on both fields, leaning a bit towards the latter.
