Emmy-Winning Film Director and Visual Artist, born and raised in Zahle, Lebanon. Dora won "International Emmy Award" in 2011 for Shankaboot, the world's first Arabic Web Drama series he directed, and in which he explored innovative ways of portraying real life in Beirut by depicting tough issues and tackling taboo subjects that mainstream media wouldn't touch, Shankaboot successfully engaged young audiences across the region during the Arab Spring, inspiring discussions across social media networks and in the press.and engaged young audiences across the region.
His career began with the short stop-animation Greyscale, which received many awards in National and International festivals such as the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Bilbao, and was critically acclaimed.
He is also distinguished in the advertising industry by his creative approach. He directed campaigns including award wining ones since 2004.
After releasing Ghadi, his debut feature film which premiered from Busan International Film Festival and won the prestigious "KNN Award", Ghadi received several international and national awards and was Lebanon's official Oscars entry for 2014.
His latest work released in early 2018 is the interactive-MiniSeries Undocumented another first in the region as a format that gathered over Sixty millions total views within a month. Undocumented won multiple awards including "Jury Award" at Raindance Film Festival London and Berlin Webfest.
Dora's intimate narrative visual languages and his precise command of directing actors, are clearly reflected in his exquisite storytelling.
