Presley Aronson...
is an artist and a storyteller: director, producer, actor, editor, singer-songwriter, dancer, guitarist, pianist, drummer. Aronson formed his own production company at age 14, which he runs to this day, providing a platform for LA's youth to learn the ins and outs of the industry prior to pursuing higher education. As CEO of Presley Aronson Enterprise (PAE), he oversees multiple units, production managers, and crew, as well as mentors interns. His company produces films, commercials, and music videos.
In the beginning ...
Presley Aronson had a theatrical knack for performance, never hesitating to grab for a microphone, whether that be in a coffee shop or at a talent show. Having experienced bullying at school, arts came as a form of release and self-expression for Aronson. In eighth grade, he tried out for his school's rock band and landed the position of lead drummer, having been self-taught. Aronson then joined singing groups and participated in stageplays, as well as musical productions, at most times, landing a lead role. He then transitioned into screen acting.
On the film side ...
Aronson is best known for his role in the hit Showtime series, Shameless, also portraying Gregg Holman in Murder Book on DiscoveryID. After a few years of being in front of the camera as a child star, Aronson found himself gravitating towards aspects of behind the scenes work, how the crew brings the storytelling to life. With the help of YouTube tutorials, Aronson learned as much as he could about the technicalities of production. When he was 14, he launched his aforementioned production company based out of Encino, California. What started with a couple friends turned into an enterprise, a platform for young students wanting to pursue production, to gain real world experience prior to embarking on the higher education track.
Mentoring has always been a priority ...
for Aronson, not having had an official industry mentor, himself. Presley Aronson Enterprise employs multiple interns to crew shows, commercials, shorts, and Aronson's music videos. Beyond the internship program, PAE also hosts workshops for crew to continue learning and to branch out to other areas, so as to cultivate well-rounded crewmembers. Aronson selects his interns not only based on skill set but on character, attitude, and values. His on-set reputation precedes him. Each person on Aronson's crew has a passion for the industry, so much so that, many say, their day jobs do not feel like work.
Lifting up kids through storytelling ...
is a main theme in many of Aronson's projects. One year into having created his production company came The Undercover Squad, a TV series about a group of high school misfits who seek justice against bullies. Two other standout projects are Dead Time, a horror short shot all in one take, as well as Casting Call, to benefit the Wigs for Kids foundation.
