Erin Elizabeth Reed is an American actress, writer, and director for both stage and screen. On camera, she is best known for her supporting role as Mickey in the film, Flashes (2014), which earned her nods from producers for her full and powerful performance opposite seasoned acting veterans. She also wrote and directed the short comedic play, "Quick Change," which made its world premiere in 2022 at the Short+Sweet Hollywood Festival, where it was an Audience Choice Semi-Finalist and Judges' Choice Finalist in performance competition.
Erin starred in the comedy series, FORE! (2013) and the adventure drama, Eve (2014). She has also appeared in supporting roles in over a dozen other projects, including the films Blood Corral (2018), Just Believe (2016), Helen Alone (2014), and Joe (2013), which landed her a part opposite Nicolas Cage. Additionally, Erin lent her voice to the comedy short, "Funny Fare" (2017), and co-wrote the horror short, "Stockholm" (2012), which placed third at the Splatterfest Competition that same year.
Born in Wharton, Texas, Erin is the oldest child of Elizabeth "Liz" Reed (née Copeland) and Robert "Rob" Reed. Her mother is of English and Irish descent, and her father is of Czech and English descent. She has two brothers and a sister.
Erin attended East Bernard High School, where she performed in U.I.L. One Act Play competitions for three years, earning two Best Actress and two Best Ensemble awards. Among other outside interests, she was also a member of the Varsity volleyball team; the drum major for the school's marching band her junior and senior year (during which the band competed in the State Marching Band Competition); and an accomplished flutist, earning a spot in the Texas State Symphonic Orchestra as one of the top 20 student flutists in 2000.
She graduated cum laude ampla et magna with a B.A. in English / minor in Playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003, then went on to get her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2006. She holds an Acting Degree from the Tom Todoroff Studio and Conservatory in New York City. Erin has been named one of the Top 25 Best Up-and-Coming Actors from Houston. She currently resides in New York and works tri-coastally.
