Local Albuquerque, New Mexico actor Kelsey Leos Montoya is a founding member of Cardboard Playhouse Theatre Company, a local children's theatre, and is (2016) majoring in theatre at the University of New Mexico. His stage play "In Passing," written at the age of 17 was produced by internationally acclaimed theatre company Tricklock Company. He has performed in many stage and improv shows in Albuquerque.
May, 2016: Kelsey Leos Montoya attended the Los Angeles premiere of the feature film "Fender Bender," sponsored by Shout! Factory. Kelsey received 4th billing for this film, which was written and directed by Mark Pavia, and stars Makenzie Vega. Producers Joshua Bunting and Carl Lucas brought the film to New Mexico to shoot, where Kelsey auditioned as a local actor.
Prior to "Fender Bender," Kelsey appeared as Jason in Adam Wingard's cult favorite, "The Guest." During the commentary for "The Guest," Wingard has this to say about Kesley: "His role kind of got augmented [be]cause he was so funny...We loved him and we ended up just adding him to every moment that we could."
