Disney+ announced that new original special “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl,” with an introduction by Lin-Manuel Miranda, will launch Wednesday, Dec. 28, on the streamer. The two-night concert event will take place at the Hollywood Bowl on November 11 and 12. The special comes from Disney Branded Television and will be produced by Fulwell 73 Productions.

Showtime has pushed the premiere date for Season 2 of Your Honor to January 2023. The 10-episode second season starring Bryan Cranston will now bow on demand and on streaming Friday, January 13, 2023, and on-air on Sunday, January 15 at 9 pm. As for the reasoning behind the move, Showtime pushed the show because of its serialized nature that is best watched week after week and wanted it to air without the interruption of the Christmas holidays.

Margolis will play Carmine Conti, a much feared mobster who is the father of Gina Baxter (Hope Davis). After retiring to Italy, Carmine returns to bring order to the fractured Baxter family. O’Brien is set to portray Father Jay, the Baxter family’s priest whom they rely on for counsel. There’s a new showrunner set to preside over season two of Showtime’s Your Honor.

Joey Hartstone, who worked with exec producers Robert and Michelle King on season one of the series and is a veteran of The Good Fight, is taking over as showrunner. Peter Moffat (Criminal Justice) oversaw season one and departed for personal reasons. He next has season two of AMC’s 61st Street, which he co-created with J. AOL Originals is giving audiences a sneak peek at its first-ever long-form web series. The digital network released the trailer for Connected, set to premiere on March 31, 2015.

Based on a hit Israeli reality television series by Koda Communications, AOL’s Connected will feature 20 episodes personally filmed by several different New York City residents. The New Yorkers with varying roles, ranging from interior designer to tech executive to stand-up comedian, were given cameras to document their lives over the period of six months. The resulting stories exemplify the lives of New York society as a whole.

AOL announced the development of Connected back in April 2014. The media corporation had hoped to release the series starting in January 2015, but eventually settled on a release date of March 31. Sponsored by Sprint, Connected is produced by Koda alongside Warrior Poets. AOL’s Dermot McCormack, Warrior Poets’ Morgan Spurlock, and Koda’s Ram Landes and Ami Teer are executive producers.

AOL has commissioned its first longform video series which is based on the Israeli cable format Mehubarim. Known as Connected in international markets, the observational documentary series will air on premium video platform, AOL On Network. It’s AOL’s first acquisition and adaptation of a new storytelling format which sees the participants film themselves. Created by Ram Landes of Israel’s Koda Communications, the U.S. version of Connected will chronicle the lives of five seemingly disconnected New Yorkers as their parallel stories unfold and eventually come together. Local versions currently air in Israel, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Holland, India, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania and Ukraine. Koda will produce Connected in the U.S. with a debut set for April 29 at AOL’s Digital Content NewFronts.
