Kati Schwartz is a celebrated playwright, actor of stage and screen, and internet personality. Her plays have been performed across the country at places such as Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Hollywood Fringe Festival, Ugly Rhino Theatre Company, and Next Stage Arts Project.
In 2015, Kati received critical acclaim for her leading role as the maniacal teenager Gillian Ravenscroft in Don Nigro's Ravenscroft at the Westchester Playhouse in Los Angeles. Previous to that, she appeared as Jean in The Fulton Theatre production of August: Osage County, directed by Marc Robin. It seems that Kati has a fondness for all variations of the name Jean, as she has also starred as Jeannie in Hair in New York City, and costarred as Jeanne in Dan Sallitt's independent feature film, The Unspeakable Act, which premiered at the 2012 Sarasota Film Festival and also enjoyed screenings at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and the International Film Festival Rotterdamn, as well as a one-week run at Anthology Film Archives in New York City. Kati was in the cast of Robin Hood in the 2014 Williamstown Theatre Festival. At Williamstown, she also staged the first reading of her original play, The Coward. The Coward went on that winter to play a sold-out run in New York City under the direction of Alex Keegan. In Los Angeles in 2015 Eric Hoff directed a staged reading of The Coward.
Between milking cows and fending off rooster attacks, Kati has studied acting with stage veteran Karla Baldwin, Shakespeare and heightened text with Patsy Rodenberg of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and clowning with Christopher Bayes and Virginia Scott. She also completed the advanced study program at Upright Citizens Brigade, which is where she also discovered her love of writing.
From 2015-2016, days Kati was a frequent co-host on the popular YouTube channel Commander Holly, and worked both in front of the camera and behind the scenes on the wildly popular (average of 3 million views each) Ninja Sex Party videos.
