Gina is a highly regarded authority in the field of Canadian, service and international co-production finance and business affairs.
She got her start at the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OntarioCreates) analyzing and certifying tax credits for film, television and digital media projects and later, as Director of Tax Credits and Financing, she oversaw the administration and certification process for all of Ontario's tax credit programmes. Her deep understanding of financing agreements and contractual agreements served her as Vice President, Production Finance at Dufferin Gate Productions. In her ten years as Vice President at take5 Productions, she negotiated and administered contracts and financing agreements for their slate of service and domestic productions, supervising Business Affairs and Finance teams that handled production set up, cash flows, receivables, recoupment and tax credit and cost reporting. She worked closely with US and Canadian financiers including MGM, Showtime, AMC, MTV (Viacom), HISTORY Channel/A&E, Corus, Bell Media and CBC and served as a producer on documentary and VR experiences for the award-winning VIKINGS series. As Vice President, Business Affairs at New Medic Media her expertise on budgets, cashflows, finance plan models, tax credits, funding applications and deadlines with private and public agencies were directed to overseeing existing content along with expansion into IP acquisitions.
Gina is a long serving Board member of the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre and a member of the Toronto Media Arts Centre.
