Shelly Shenoy was born in Denver, Colorado as Michelle E. Smith, to Mary Dunning (Artist, Teacher) & Mark Smith (Consultant, Author). She is of German, Irish & Swedish descent. Shenoy began acting at 4 years old with the Imaginating Dramatics Co., and was in her first television commercial by the age of 7. At the age of 18 she was accepted into The Young Americans, a globally renowned Musical Theater Organization. After 3 National tours & completing her first 2 years of college on the road, Shenoy made the move to New York City to pursue acting in 2002. By 2004 Shenoy joined the all-female Sketch Comedy Troupe "The Brothel", alongside Margaret Rose Champagne (Inside Amy Schumer) & Marisa Miller Wolfson (Vegucated). Shenoy's first writing debut was "Girlscouts", which won Chicago's Reject-Fest, and landed them a Primetime Performance Saturday Night Showing at The Funniest Week in Chicago, 2007. The show out-sold the SNL Alumni Showcase that night, and landed The Brothel a full page article in Time Out Chicago & Time Out NY.
In 2007, Shenoy re-focused all of her training to On-Cam Legit. Despite her passion for Film & TV, Shenoy's Voice Over Career took the reigns. Shenoy landed her first role in an animated series as principal character Mickey for Casper the Friendly Ghost: Casper Goes to Scare School (The Cartoon Network, Netflix). By the end of season 1 (before the show moved to California), Shenoy was voicing 25 additional characters, including beloved fan favorites FlyBoy, Harpo, Dummy Girl & the School Nurse.
In 2012 Shenoy auditioned & booked her first film role as TARA in 8:46. Shenoy was written up in the New York Times review as "the Newcomer to Watch". 8:46 went on to win an award for Best Ensemble Cast at the Cannes International Film Festival.
Shenoy has voiced dozens of ensemble characters as the head Voice Artist & Loop Grouper for Telltale Video Games, including The Walking Dead, Minecraft, Game of Thrones, and Batman. In September 2016, Shenoy made her Co-Starring debut in Telltale's The Walking Dead, playing "Kate".
In 2016 Shenoy spent 4 months working as the Voice Director for a Netflix Original Animated Series, Bing.
