Aaron Penney
- Director
- Writer
- Producer
Born and raised in San Diego, CA. Aaron was very reserved and shy as a
child. Because of which, he took more of an interest in observing
conversations, rather than being a part of them. People watching became
his hobby. This, along with a wild imagination, had made very
interested in creative writing from a very young age.
Once he eventually broke out of his shell, he became a sports junkie to the definition. Running cross country, and wrestling became a huge part of his life (after basketball, baseball, and soccer either didn't work out, or were vacant in interest). Wrestling eventually transcended into competitive Mixed Martial Arts, which became a major love in his life.
He started taking Theatre as a sophomore in high school thinking it'd be an easy A, not knowing he would fall in love with it like nothing before. He almost instantly dropped his hopes for his athletic path, to focus the remainder of high school into pursuing acting.
Post high school, Aaron psyched himself into thinking it's an illogical career to pursuit, and instead went to school for Fitness and Nutrition Training, and a minor in screen writing.
He was eventually contacted with an opportunity to write sketch comedy while back in San Diego, and moved to Los Angeles almost immediately. Through his struggles and hardships, he managed to get the ball rolling still.
Now, he has teamed up with a dear friend of his in starting a production company, Younique Pictures LLC, and is trying with the work ethic of a machine and the imagination of a Suess child to bring his art to life, and share with the world.
