Italian medical drama series Doc – Nelle Tue Mani is getting a U.S. remake.
A U.S. version of the series, which comes from Italian producer Lux Vide, the company behind Aidan Turner series Leonardo, is in the works at Fox.
Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming at Fox, told Deadline that the network has a “couple of pieces of material that are being worked on as we speak”.
The move further into medical development comes as the future of long-running series The Resident hangs in the balance. The show just ended its sixth season but Thorn said that he hasn’t made a decision yet as to whether this will be its final season.
The Italian series follows a doctor who suffers a major head injury that wipes 12 years from his memory. It was the most-watched Italian series in the last 13 years with its run on public broadcaster Rai.

The Victorian era has been shaped by its men, from Sherlock Holmes to the dastardly deeds of Jack the Ripper. That’s not to say that inserting a woman into this world immediately revolutionizes the premise. In fact, there have been numerous female detectives created for the period, with the plotlines generally revolving around how strange and unusual she is for entering a man’s arena. Maybe that’s why Rachael New’s PBS mystery series, “Miss Scarlet and the Duke” feels so charming, because Being Feminist (capitalization intended) isn’t what it sets its focus on.

Sometimes you see a trailer for a movie and know it’s perfect for you… that was Avengers Grimm for me. So much so that I specifically hunted down a copy for review!
An off-the-wall mix of Grimm Fairy tale characters and superhero team-up movies which, frankly, should have been obvious given the title, Avengers Grimm is the latest film from the schlockmeisters The Asylum – you know, those folks behind such films as Transmorphers, Hercules Reborn, Sharknado and a myriad of other mockbusters, cash-ins and giant sea creature movies.
Like many and Asylum movie, the plot is relatively simple: when Rumpelstiltskin uses the Magic Mirror to escapes to the modern world taking Snow White with him and destroying the mirror in the process,...

Somehow, someway, the award winning bowlegged poet-turned-filmmaker from Midlothian, Virginia, is now getting his 7th feature film produced, Deadly Punkettes. The film will depict the gritty Neapolitan rise and fall of 4 prissy teenage punk-rock princesses, who’ll have to maintain well-rounded riots even after a founding member mysteriously dies, and haunts their act!
The picture might just be the first of its kind, melding an all-girl group novelty with paranormal terror. The plot twists hardly promise to be tame, and the predictability of this particular writer’s track record could convince us the story will be chock full of sassy, silly, and seductive female characters.
Meet the band… On bass guitar and vocals … the daring and diverse D’Lannie Brown, as Aspen, a simple girl who’s about to become enchanted by a new set of illusions in her life … and death. On guitar … the delicate and dear … Claire Gordon-Harper,...
