Edward was born in Yorkshire, England. He studied acting in London with renowned British actor and acting coach Paul Gregory. He began his early career in theatre at 17, where he appeared in a number of productions, most notably in Sons of Paradise (Sheffield) and Glengarry Glenross (London West End).
