Kelly Ramel
- Actress
Kelly Ramel was born and spent her childhood years in Kansas City,
Missouri. She is the youngest of three kids and arguably, the favorite
child. She was a blue-eyed, freckled faced, charming tomboy and the
only female player in the NFL. (Which, to Kelly, was the Neighborhood
Football League). Her tomboy temperament earned her a spot on her
eighth grade wrestling team. Kelly excelled in soccer and played
throughout her school years. She set her schools record for most goals
scored in a single season. Childhood for Kelly was filled with camping
trips, boat outings, fireworks, strawberries, dancing, trampolines,
voice lessons, skip-its, and Labrador puppies. At 14 her parents took
Kelly to her first concert--Cher. It was there she was scouted by a
local modeling agency. So began her adventures as a teenage model.
After signing with Ford and Wilhelmina modeling agencies she began
modeling all across the United States and Japan. At 17, she kissed
Kansas City and Gates Barbecue goodbye and lept into the bustling world
of New York City; artists, suits, sushi, subways, dance clubs, yellow
taxi cabs, and Dylans Candy Bar. Kelly has graced the pages of well
known magazines including Seventeen, YM, Marie Claire, Lucky, and Cosmo
Girl as well as appearing in numerous advertisements from billboards in
New York to in-store ads for Target. She eventually nabbed a Chelsea
studio and in between modeling gigs began to study the craft of acting.
It's all Kelly's ever wanted to do since she was six years old and was
inspired by the character, Vada, in the movie 'My Girl'. After five
wild, fun-filled years in The Big Apple, she packed it up and headed
west to Hollywood. Kelly is currently living in Los Angeles and spends
every day becoming more and more the person she's always wanted to be.
