Tiffany was born Stephanie Hwang in San Francisco, California. Her mother preferred to call her Tiffany. Growing up in Diamond Bar, she attended South Pointe Middle School and Diamond Bar High School. Tiffany is a Korean-American actress and singer-songwriter. In 2007, Tiffany debuted as a member of the globally renowned K-pop girl group, Girls' Generation (aka SNSD) and became one of the best-selling artists in Korea. In 2016, Tiffany became the second Girls' Generation member to debut as a soloist with her album, "I Just Wanna Dance". With a more distinct, American influence embedded in her music, her album reached #3 on the Billboard World Albums Chart and sold over 61,000 physical copies.
In 2011, Tiffany kick-started her acting career as a musical actress with a lead role in the Korean adaptation of the musical, "Fame". She then went on to take the role of Roxie Hart in the Korea production of the Broadway musical, "Chicago" (2021). Tiffany's most recent TV series acting endeavor was in the highly successful fantasy, revenge, period drama, "Reborn Rich" (2022), in which the final episode achieved a 26.9% nationwide rating thus becoming the second highest-rated drama in Korean cable television history in both viewership ratings and the number of viewers.
Tiffany speaks both American-accented English and Korean fluently.
