Born and raised in New South Wales, Australia, Richard Lovegrove is a triple threat. Always performing for family and friends, he began his journey into the performing arts as a dancer. Trained in contemporary, tap, and ballroom, Richard found himself in demand, performing around the world.
In the late 90's he transitioned to acting. Taking to the stage in musicals, with notable performances in Reefer Madness, in which he performed the dual role of Jack and Jesus, Singin' In The Rain, A Midsummer's Night Dream, As You Like It, Madame Melville, and Paris, the latter alongside the late, Jon English.
Taking his first tentative steps into the world of film, Richard started in a number of short films and skits that he helped write before landing a role in the long-running series, Deadly Women. In 2011, he starred in his first feature film, Submerged, in which he showed his range, playing serial killer, Danny Miller.
A jack of all trades, his skills extend to behind the camera as he's trained in stage combat, fight choreography, for which he became an instructor, directing, editing, videography, and stunts. This led to him choreographing fight scenes for Ben-Hur Stadium Spectacular.
During the height of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Richard created QUIZarenaLIVE through his production company, Rushcutter Entertainment. An interactive trivia show that streamed live each week online. Starting the show during the lockdowns in New South Wales, the original format of the show was horror movie trivia. It has since evolved to include all genres as well as music, literature, and pop culture.
Hosting QUIZarenaLIVE from the very beginning, Richard has been a staple to audiences each week, entertaining both viewers and guests with his high energy and charm. He extended his hosting duties to the QUIZarenaLIVE special events Escaping Halloween and the Xmastravaganza.
In February 2022, he created a spin-off titled Under the Covers which he co-hosts alongside Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons. A chameleon within the industry, Richard is always on the hunt for his next project.
