Beginning in January 2025, Netflix will be the exclusive home of the WWE’s flagship weekly wrestling program in the US, Canada, UK, and Latin America among other territories, with additional countries and regions added over time. This is the first time in the show’s 31-year history that WWE Raw is available to stream.

Additionally, Netflix will bring WWE's electrifying content to audiences outside the United States, including SmackDown, Nxt, and events such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam.

For wrestling fans, the arrival of WWE Raw is nothing short of major. Since its debut in 1993, the showhas delivered action, drama, and mind-blowing athleticism, helping launch the careers of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, and Charlotte Flair.

WWE‘s Nxt is leaving the USA Network on Oct. 1, heading from cable to broadcast television on the CW — and now we know where the broadcast will take place. The Tuesday, Oct. 1, live show will be held at Chicago’s Allstate Arena with main event star and Chicago native Cm Punk, WWE announced Tuesday.

The following week on Oct. 8, Nxt will tap another local star when they head to St. Louis, featuring special main roster guest Randy Orton.

The show’s ratings haven’t historically been as large as those of its two top shows, “Raw” and “SmackDown,” but Nxt’s average viewership has risen 20% year-to-date among 18-49, while its overall ratings across age groups are up 4% versus last year, according to Nielsen data provided by WWE. The CW Network and WWE today announced Nxt will travel to Allstate Arena in Chicago on Tuesday, October 1, and the Enterprise Center in St. Louis on Tuesday, October 8, as part of its highly anticipated broadcast television debut on The CW Network. Nxt will make its live debut on The CW on Tuesday, October 1 (8:00-10:00pm Et/Pt).

Additionally, the live arena shows will feature special appearances by WWE Superstar Cm Punk in Chicago and WWE Superstar Randy Orton in St. Louis.

Despite dominating during their time in Nxt, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have never had a match at WrestleMania, and this seemingly spurned them to leave it all on the line. Brutus and Julius Creed wowed the WWE Universe, especially when Julius lifted from his knees into a standing vertical suplex, showcasing his raw strength. The Creed Brothers continued their punishing attack, sending Ciampa through the announce table area and leaving Pat McAfee speechless. Julius and Brutus caught their opponents with tandem ankle locks, but Ciampa and Gargano countered into a Sicilian Stretch and Gargano Escape. Gargano scored the pinfall after both teams went back-and-forth with pin attempts.

WWE 2K24, the latest installment in the wrestling game franchise from 2K Sports, has been out for a few days now and has received mostly positive reviews so far from both fans and critics. But it hasn’t all been good, as many Deluxe Edition players reported that they faced several bugs and technical issues, such as sudden crashes that almost left the game unplayable.

However, before all these problems, the Vince McMahon controversy had already marred the player’s excitement about the game, and WWE has tried to distance him from its history. It was reported that he has been removed from the game and will not be seen, but despite that, the game hasn’t managed to fully escape his shadow.

The release date for WWE 2K24 is getting closer, and fans have been waiting to get their hands on it. The WWE 2K24 roster is getting a fan-favorite character added in the form of Bray Wyatt’s The Fiend. Windham Lawrence Rotunda, known by his ring name, Bray Wyatt, sadly passed away on the 24th of August last year, aged just 36, after suffering a heart attack. By the time of his passing, he had already become a fan-favorite wrestler and a common name in WWE.

Carlito and Lashley squared off for the first time ever, despite their Ruthless Aggression history. Moments before the match, Carlito levied accusations toward Santos Escobar, making this match much more charged. Carlito came out swinging, even lifting The All Mighty to hit an all mighty suplex. The CW will become the official broadcast home of WWE Nxt in a new five-year deal that will see the showcase for WWE’s up-and-coming stars move from USA Network in October of 2024.

The network will air 52 live weekly events throughout the season, making Nxt the latest addition to the CW’s growing roster of live sports, including Acc football and basketball games airing Saturdays throughout the season, and Liv Golf. The CW is also the new home of weekly studio series Inside the NFL and will broadcast the NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning in 2025. The network said it will soon offer more than 500 hours of sports programming.

Nxt is part of Tko Group, the newly created public company that houses WWE and UFC, and is majority-owned by Endeavor.

Nxt, which serves as a showcase for WWE’s developmental talent, currently airs on USA Network but will move to CW in October 2024 in a new five-year deal. A source close to the deal pegged the value of the deal to WWE at about $20 million-$25 million a year.

Nxt will air weekly throughout the year on CW, marking the first time the show has aired on broadcast television since it launched its weekly format in 2012.

“Between the new leadership and ownership, the economics of the deal and with their broadcast network now being in over 100 million homes, it became a no brainer to move Nxt, one of our signature weekly shows, to the CW,” said Nick Khan, president of WWE.

One night before WWE Fastlane, Charlotte Flair gained the pinfall victory during her and Asuka’s match against WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky and Bayley. At WWE Fastlane, Sky is set to defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Flair and Asuka in a Triple Threat Match and looks to be on shaky ground, as she and her partner Bayley came up short. The four Superstars balled out, with Sky taking out everyone in a tremendous Tower of Doom that left everyone down. Even though Flair had accidentally booted Asuka in the face, she still came away with the win after a Natural Selection on Sky.

This year’s edition of WWE “Fastlane” is full of firsts. It’s the first Fastlane to take place outside of the “Road to Wrestlemania” and the first premium live event under the Tko Holdings banner following the sale of WWE. It also may be the first card for a certain new WWE Superstar who was recently signed from another company. It’s also the first Fastlane appearance for John Cena since 2018. SummerSlam 2023 is...

WWE, part of the newly created Tko Group, and NBCUniversal have agreed to a five-year domestic media rights deal that will bring Friday Night SmackDown to USA Network starting in Oct. 2024, exiting its current home on Fox.

WWE will also produce four specials a year for NBC primetime.

Raw, the top-rated flagship property that also airs Mondays on USA Network, is not part of this deal. Today’s announcement noted that USA Networks “is currently home to WWE Monday Night Raw and WWE Nxt, “which will continue to air on USA Network through September of 2024.” A number of players are said to be circling Raw.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed but Mark Shapiro, president and chief operating officer of WWE parents Tko Group and Endeavor, said recently when asked about negotiations that he expected results “in line with market expectations.” That could mean about a 40% bump from the previous SmackDown deal,...

After some back-and-forth action, Asuka reemerged to snatch the WWE Women’s Title from Dakota Kai’s hands, giving enough of a distraction for Shotzi to lock up the win for her team. After the match, Asuka and Sky had a face-to-face showdown.

Waller and Theory looked like a well-oiled machine early on, but that faded after an inadvertent shot from Waller knocked Theory to the outside. Mysterio found himself in the crosshairs of a cheap shot from his Payback opponent Theory, but Escobar sacrificed himself and absorbed the blow, only for Waller to sneak in and hit his Rolling Stunner to pick up the win.

Beginning Aug. 7, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will serve as the commentators for “Monday Night Raw” on USA Network. This marks a return to “Raw” for Cole, who first appeared on the show in 1997 and has served as one of the key members of the broadcast desk for various stretches of time ever since.

It will be Barrett’s first time doing commentary for “Raw.” In addition to his in-ring career, Barrett was previously a commentator for WWE’s Nxt before moving to “Friday Night SmackDown” on Fox in late 2022.

Cole will also remain on the commentary team for “SmackDown,” where he will be joined by Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves beginning Aug. 11.

The pace was frenetic with all four Superstars pulling out the stops with the two veterans in Sheamus and Rey Mysterio hitting Knight and Grimes with the 10 Beats of the Bodhran. In a wild moment, all four Superstars came crashing down to Earth in a jaw-dropping Tower of Doom catastrophe. In the closing stages, Mysterio sent Grimes straight near where Austin Theory was sitting, which enraged the U.S.
