The Demented will be released by Anchor Bay July 30th. And, a new clip has been released for this title called "Car Crash." The clip shows several of the stars from the film, the zombies! These flesheaters chase Sharley (Sarah Butler), Taylor (Kayla Ewell), David (Richard Kohnke)and Brice (Ashlee Brian), after a terrorist attack turns a whole town into ravenous cannibals. The clip is below and horror fans can watch as four characters try to recover from a car crash. A young girl, on the road, forces the driver into a swerve and the vehicle is overturned. The zombies keep on coming and this time Anchor Bay Films will be unleashing the undead. Christopher Roosevelt's The Demented will reach horror fans this Summer. And, the official artwork for the film has been released (seen left). The film follows several friends, a short vacation and a biological terror. Which element does not belong? That terror takes the form of a virus. And soon, a whole town is shambling about in search of flesh and blood to feast on. An early still has been released for the film, as well. The photo shows one of the friends interacting with one of flesheaters from the film. An axe promises to decapitate at least one from the hordes. Exclusive: Taryn Manning (Hawaii Five-0) has been cast in a major 9-episode arc on Orange Is The New Black, Netflix’s new 13-episode hourlong series from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan. It centers on Piper (Taylor Schilling), an engaged Brooklynite whose decade-old relationship with a drug-runner (Laura Prepon) in college results in her arrest and multi-year detention in a federal penitentiary. Manning will play inmate Tiffany Doggett, a wild child from Waynesboro, Virginia. Better known as “Pennsatucky” for her Appalachian way of speaking, she’s a born-again Evangelical with underlying anger issues who doesn’t mix well with others. Manning, repped by Apa and manager Oren Segal, also recurred on FX’s Sons Of Anarchy. Up-and-comer Richard Kohnke has booked a recurring role on the CW’s upcoming drama The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to Sex And The City that centers on teen Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) living in the 1980s.

Anchor Bay continues to make significant investments in new horror films and has picked up The Demented, with plans to release it in 2013. The movie recently finished filming in Louisiana and was written and directed by Chris Roosevelt.

Synopsis: Six college friends meet up for a carefree weekend that turns deadly. A terrorist attack in a nearby town infects much of the townspeople with a deadly virus that induces rabies-like symptoms, only far more severe. Several of those infected (the title characters) attack the estate where the friends have been vacationing. Can they survive? Where will they hide? Is anyone left? Will we ever get our fill of these flesh eating zombie fiends? (No, to the last question).
