Fallout is finally here and by the grace of god and Jonathan Nolan, it’s great. Based on an RPG video game series of the same name Prime Video is set in a world that was destroyed by a nuclear war 219 years and now the survivors have divided themselves into different factions. In this dangerous and unforgiving world, we follow the story of a privileged and naive young woman who has lived all her life in a civilized society in an underground vault, but some unexpected circumstances force her to leave the security of the vault behind and venture out into the real world. Fallout stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins in the lead role with Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Zach Cherry, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Johnny Pemberton, Sarita Choudhury, and Leslie Uggams starring in supporting roles. So, if you loved the brutal, funny, and deadly world of Fallout,...

Riverdale Season 6 Episode 12
“Hold your loved ones close, the Fog is coming!”
Riverdale loves a good pop culture homage. Having tipped its creative hat to everything from Creepshow to Grease 2 over the course of its six seasons to date, this is not a series that is afraid to wear its influences on its sleeve. Since the show is standing firmly upon horror/sci-fi ground right now it makes sense to focus on a creepy cult classic for its latest extended reference. Enter John Carpenter’s The Fog.
Originally released in 1980 (the less said about the 2005 remake the better), the film concerns how residents of a coastal town in California are terrorized by a menacing fog that is giving cover to shipwrecked ghosts who perished 100 years previously and are looking for revenge.
Cherry-picking elements of this premise, the latest episode of Riverdale uses the concept...

Truckers-in-space realism dominates in this low-budget sci-fi about people escaping a dying Earth only to encounter man-eating extraterrestrials
It’s the year 2242 and Bruce Willis is still an ageing tough guy who’s kicking butt. That’s the alarming prospect raised by this ropey low-budget sci-fi set aboard a spacecraft carrying 300,000 people from dying Earth to life on a new planet. The plot centres on a parasitic alien chomping its way through the crew hired to keep the vessel ticking over while the passengers cryogenically sleep out the six-month journey. And the film-makers, having borrowed the storyline from Alien, also go for the same blue-collar, boilersuit-wearing, truckers-in-space realism. Willis growls a few lines, half-arses a catchphrase or two and points a gun.
The film’s actual lead character is played by Cody Kearsley: Noah, a janitor on this spacecraft, which is the last to leave Earth for the new colony.

Anti-Life! I went into this sci-fi offering knowing nothing about it other than Bruce Willis stars in it, it’s set in space and Thomas Jane is in it too… when did he become Thomas? What was wrong with being Tom? I like Tom Jane as names go but now he seems to be Thomas, I must get to the bottom of this.
For me, Bruce Willis in space seems like an automatic “Yes, Please”. It’s safe to say I was excited to see this one but it is becoming more and more apparent Willis is absolutely in the straight to DVD era of his career. Though this is not a bad thing because this tends to be when you find some absolute gem projects...

"So we're headed to New Earth, at the speed of light, with an alien?!" "Yeah, we got it..." Saban Films has released an official trailer for a sci-fi action thriller now known as Breach, formerly known as Anti-Life. On the cusp of fatherhood, a junior mechanic aboard an interstellar ark heading to New Earth must outwit a malevolent cosmic terror (shape-shifting aliens) intent on using the spaceship as a weapon. Unfortunately, even though he was once a kick ass actor, Bruce Willis in any movie nowadays almost guarantees that it's going to be pretty bad. The Breach cast also includes Cody Kearsley, Rachel Nichols, Callan Mulvey, Kassandra Clementi, Timothy V. Murphy, and Thomas Jane as Admiral. The weapons in this are so ugly, and everything in this seems uninspired and derivative. I love sci-fi movies, but not this kind of sci-fi. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for John Suits' Breach,...

Saban Films has acquired the rights to two titles from Munich-based “Resident Evil” producer Constantin Film.
The deals include North American and U.K. rights to the adventure thriller “Tides,” directed by Tim Fehlbaum, and North American rights to director Mike P. Nelson’s anticipated horror reboot, “Wrong Turn.”
Mister Smith Entertainment is handling worldwide sales on both Constantin titles this week at the virtual American Film Market, where the titles will be screening for buyers.
“Tides” marks the second film from Swiss-born director Fehlbaum, who burst to attention with his debut feature “Hell,” another sci-fi thriller.
Set in a not-too-distant future, “Tides” follows an elite female astronaut from Space Colony Kepler who is shipwrecked on a decimated Earth after a global catastrophe has wiped out nearly all of humanity. She must make a decision that will seal the fate of the Earth’s populace.

After leaving us with a bombshell season 1 ending, Daybreak won't live to see another day.
The genre-bending series Daybreak fought off countless ghoulies during its 10-episode first season, but it couldn’t avoid a cold death at the hands of its streamer. Netflix canceled the post-apocalyptic series, which was only released on October 24th.
Series co-creator and executive producer Aron Eli Coleite addressed the cancelation in a statement to fans, who he dubbed “daybreakers,” on Twitter: “No one is as heartbroken as we are that we can’t share more of this ride with you. But we are so grateful to have gotten to bring it so far.” You can read Coleite’s full statement here.

Along with its epic soundtrack and colorful set design, Netflix's Daybreak is packed with witty dialogue perfect for a teen-dominated, postapocalyptic world, reminiscent of Buffy meets Glee meets Mad Max. One of the quippiest moments thus far is delivered in a speech by Turbo Bro Jock, played by Riverdale heartthrob Cody Kearsley, in episode six. Turbo, who sustained an injury that rendered him speechless, basically taps a microphone, and a superfast flash of words takes over the screen à la the Star Wars opening crawl. Here's a little context around the speech - plus how you can catch it without pausing frame by frame (or resorting to Netflix's new speed features).
First, let's talk about Turbo's deal and the context of the speech. The textbook definition of a bully, Turbo is king of the jocks, and he really doesn't like the protagonist, Josh. He does have layers to...

“Daybreak” fits neatly into one of the genres that seems increasingly major for Netflix: The drama that places in counterpoint the big emotions felt by teens and the literal end of the world.
To wit: “The End of the F***ing World,” a well-regarded British co-production, is returning for a second season in November; Netflix’s Sabrina the teenage witch, on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” has to deal with potentially apocalyptic stakes instead of the light scrapes her ABC predecessor faced; on “The Society,” all adults have vanished in some sort of event, forcing those under 18 to start the world anew.
It’s this last show that “Daybreak” shares the most with, on a premise level: In the first episode, we’re told that a nuclear attack on Los Angeles had a disproportionate winnowing effect: “The bombs must have been biological. Most adults melted into goo,” narrator Josh (Colin Ford) intones.

I’ve got a great new trailer to share with you for a super fun new post-apocalyptic coming-of-age comedy adventure series called Daybreak. The series is based on the graphic novel by Brian Ralph and tells a story where teens are the only survivors in a Ghoulie infested post-apocalyptic world. It may look a little strange and weird, but it also looks like a blast!
Daybreak is described as “a genre-bending series and subversive dark comedy” and the story “finds 17-year-old high school outcast Josh searching for his missing girlfriend Sam in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. Joined by a ragtag group of misfits including a pyromaniac 12 year old Angelica and Josh’s former high school bully Wesley, now turned pacifist samurai, Josh tries to stay alive amongst the horde of Mad Max-style gangs, zombie-like creatures called Ghoulies, and everything else this brave new world throws at him.”

You thought your four years of high school were hard? Try getting through it after a nuclear blast basically wipes out the planet on the night of Homecoming. Netflix's latest coming of age story Daybreak follows an eclectic group of survivors in a treacherous post-apocalyptic world full of hormones and vicious tribes kicking ass as they figure out this whacky thing called life.
It's as if Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Mad Max had a baby, which is appropriate considering Matthew Broderick stars as Glendale High School's Principal Michael Burr, alongside Colin Ford as our sassy young protagonist Josh Wheeler; Sophie Simnett as Sam Dean; Austin Crute as Wesley Fists; Alyvia Alyn Lind as Angelica Green; Cody Kearsley as Turbo Bro Jock; Jeanté Godlock as Mona Lisa; and Gregory Kasyan as Eli Cardashyan. Watch the trailer above, and get ready for the Battle Royale when Daybreak drops on Oct.

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for an insanely wild looking post-apocalyptic comedy adventure series called Daybreak. The series is based on a graphic novel by Brian Ralph and it looks super weird yet incredibly fun.

It’s funny because I grew up in Glendale, CA and this setting looks nothing like it. But, it’s all in good fun and obviously a very fictionalized version of Glendale.

Matthew Broderick goes from Hollywood’s favorite high school truant to a positive principal in Netflix’s upcoming dramedy “Daybreak.”
And the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” references don’t end there, as the official trailer released Monday morning showed.
Star Colin Ford, who plays 17-year-old hero, Josh Wheeler, closes out the action-filled teaser with this drop-the-mic line honoring the 1986 John Hughes classic: “And you thought we weren’t going to have any fun with the apocalypse, shame on you.”

The 1-minute, 1o-second clip opens with a normal school day as Broderick’s Principal Michael Burr makes morning announcements and positive affirmations to the students of Glendale High School.
Then things start to get wild, as we realize that this is actually post-apocalyptic California that is more like “Mad Max” than “Saved by the Bell.

It’s the end of the world as we know it in Netflix’s Daybreak, and 17-year-old Josh Wheeler feels… pretty chill, actually. The post-apocalyptic comedy dropped its first teaser trailer on Monday, giving us our first look at Brian Ralph’s comic book series in action.
Daybreak is described as a “genre-bending series” set in Glendale, Calif., which is now “populated by marauding gangs of jocks, gamers, the 4-h Club, and other fearsome tribes who are kicking ass as they fight to survive in the wake of a nuclear blast. High school is tough enough as it is. “Daybreak,” a new Netflix series launching next month, takes a look at what might happen if you added the apocalypse on top of it.
The 10-episode season centers on the students and staff of Glendale High School, who after an ominous and dangerous mushroom cloud, are thrust into a barren wasteland with different warring tribes trying to control life in the aftermath. As the teaser trailer for the series shows, much of the same divisions that haunted these students in a time before nuclear annihilation still stick around as everyone scavenges for dwindling supplies.
Told with a wink and a nod to the tropes of post-apocalyptic stories, “Daybreak” still keeps some of the attitude of a high school-set comedy. Part of the fun of the show seems to be watching which groups can keep the upper hand as things get even more serious.

Netflix is adapting post-apocalyptic high school comedy (yes) Daybreak into a TV series. Here is everything you need to know.
High school can be a rough time in any young person's life. Last thing they need is the apocalypse to complicate things.
Well that's exactly what's going to happen to the students of Glendale High School is Netflix's new apocalyptic action-comedy-drama (an ApActComDram if you will), Daybreak. Deadline was the first to report that Netflix has ordered Daybreak, a live-action series based on a comic by the same name from Brian Ralph
Daybreak will tell the story of high school outcast Josh searching for his missing girlfriend amidst a post-apocalyptic world. He will have to navigate through various factions of Mad Max-ified high school castes and zombie-like creatures known as "ghoulies."
Aron Eli Coilete (Star Trek: Discovery) and Brad Payton (Rampage) will produce the series.

Netflix is rounding out its cast for Daybreak, its upcoming high school apocalypse dramedy series. Joining the series opposite Matthew Broderick are Colin Ford, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Sophie Simnett, Austin Crute, Gregory Kasyan, Krysta Rodriguez, Cody Kearsley and Jeante Godlock (The Simone Biles Story: Courage to Soar).
Co-created by Aron Eli Coleite and Brad Peyton based on Brian Ralph’s graphic novel, the 10-episode Daybreak finds 17-year-old high school outcast Josh (Ford) searching for his missing girlfriend Sam (Simnett) in post-apocalyptic Glendale, CA. Joined by a ragtag group of misfits including a pyromaniac 12-year-old Angelica (Lind) and Josh’s former high school bully Wesley (Crute), now turned pacifist samurai, Josh tries to stay alive amongst the horde of Mad Max-style gangs, zombie-like creatures called Ghoulies, and everything else this brave new world throws at him.
Ford will play Josh Wheeler. Josh is an ordinary kid who learns he’s not so ordinary after all when the bombs drop. The apocalypse is the best thing that ever happened to him. He can finally be the hero he read about in comic books. Josh’s search for his lost love leads him to become a reluctant leader of an ad hoc tribe of outliers and misfits.
Lind will portray Angelica. A precocious, abrasive pyromaniac, Angelica is a pain in the ass who Josh accidentally saves from a bloodthirsty gang when he mistakes her screams for Sam’s. She begs Josh and Wesley to let her team up with them, and her flair for making Molotov cocktails starts to come in very handy.
Simnett is Samaira “Sam” Dean. A soulful, radiant girl who is outgoing and well-liked by everyone she meets — particularly Josh, who is smitten with her at first sight. Their budding romance is literally nuked when atomic bombs decimate civilization.
Crute will play Wesley Fists. A football star with budding movie star looks and a penchant for swords, he was part of a system that ostracized and terrorized the students beneath him on the social totem pole (like Josh). But when Josh and Wesley meet once again in the apocalypse, Wesley is trying to follow the path of Eastern enlightenment and non-violence.
Kasyan will portray Eli Cardashyan. In high school, Eli was one of the have-nots. In the apocalypse, Eli has barricaded himself inside the mall and now he has everything he could possibly want – every brand-name sneaker, every iPhone (never mind that there’s no service anymore), and gifts galore for his (possibly imaginary) girlfriend.
Rodriguez is Ms. Crumble. Once the high school biology teacher, Ms. Crumble is one of the only adults known by our characters to have survived the bomb. Something’s very wrong with her brain, but she’s a subject of great fascination for Angelica.
Kearsley will play Turbo Bro Jock. A fierce, handsome football player with a terrifyingly stoic manner, he has assembled all the athletic teen teams of Glendale into one, big, murderous crew, and he’s the team captain. When Josh and his tiny gang outsmart his peeps, decimating their ranks, Turbo is determined to track his adversaries down and do his worst.
Godlock will portray Mona Lisa. This tough female athlete got her nickname because she never smiles. She’s a member of Turbo’s brutal team of jocks and his closest consigliere.
Coleite also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Peyton also directs and executive produces with his producing partner Jeff Fierson via their production shingle Asap Entertainment.
Godlock is repped by Sherry Marsh at Marsh Entertainment, Aefh Agency, and Darrell Miller at Fox Rothschild. Rodriguez is repped by Paradigm Talent Agency. Lind is repped by Coast to Coast Talent Group and Bloom Hergott Diemer. Simnett is repped by Waring & McKenna and Circle of Confusion. Crute is repped by Paradigm Talent Agency and manager Alana Aksoy. Kasyan is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and La Management. Kearsley is repped by Red Management and Industry Entertainment.

Happy Friday, fellow Riverdale fans. Wow, the season 3 premiere episode definitely did not disappoint this past Wednesday night, October 10, 2018. We saw Archie end up going to prison after taking that involuntary manslaughter deal. Alice and Polly were acting really strange with that whole "the Farm" cult. Later, we saw them making babies float over burning flames. It was really weird. We're still trying to figure out what that was all about. Whatever it was, it totally made Betty fall out and appear to have some major seizures. It was very disturbing. We can tell you right now that Betty will apparently be ok and back on her feet in this upcoming episode two. What we have in this article for you guys is a brief spoiler teaser of what's in store for the upcoming, second episode of season 3. The CW recently put out their press release for it. It offers...

Archie, Jughead, Betty, and Veronica will be back. Here's everything you need to know about Riverdale Season 3!
The CW left no mystery as to Riverdale's status for the 2018/2019 season. Archie and his pals will be back as Riverdale Season 3 has been officially confirmed by the network. The network made a rare move in announcing that 10 of its original shows had all been picked up for new seasons. The network is also expanding its programming lineup to a sixth day of originals with the intention of launching a primetime block on Sundays.
Riverdale has become one of the network’s flagship programs. The show is a ratings hit with the younger demo and saw huge ratings increases from season 1 to season 2, in large part due to the show being available on streaming services like Netflix. The series debuted as a midseason show in 2017 and quickly earned a renewal for the fall.

The first promo for The CW's Riverdale is here, giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect from this "subversive" take on the classic Archie Comics. Early reactions to the pilot screening at Sdcc were mostly positive, but it's difficult to imagine any purist getting on board with this. Then again, maybe you feel the material could have used a bit of an update? Check out the teaser below and let us know what you make of it. Riverdale is set to premiere on January 26, and stars Kj Apa as Archie, Andrews, Camilia Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Cole Sprouse as Jughead, Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle, Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, Daniel Yang as Dilton Doiley, Cody Kearsley as Moose Mason, Ashleigh Murray as Josie, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Marisol Nichols as Mrs. Lodge, Mädchen Amick as Alice Cooper, and Luke Perry as Fred Andrews.

The offcial Archie Comics Twitter account has posted a set snap of Kj Apa as Archie Andrews as he'll appear in the CW's upcoming Riverdale show. The pilot is currently shooting in Vancouver, and will apparently offer a "subversive" take on the material. Whether you like the sound of that or not, you've got to admit that Apa makes for a very comic-accurate Archie. Hey @kj_apa, we're digging the hair color!

The CW’s modern take on Archie comics has added three more “Riverdale” residents. Ross Butler, Daniel Yang and Cody Kearsley are joining the Greg Berlanti drama pilot, TheWrap has learned. “Riverdale” is set in the present day and is based on the iconic Archie Comics characters. It is described as a surprising and subversive take on Archie (Kj Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade. Butler will play the role of Reggie Mantle, Yang will be Dilton Doiley.
