Unfortunately, Cobra Kai will not be returning with a seventh season. The show is set to end with its sixth season. The decision was announced upon the renewal of Season 6 in January 2023. The show was not canceled by Netflix; instead, the makers wanted to end the show based on the storyline.

Johnny Lawrence, Daniel Larusso and their students are headed overseas to compete in the international Sekai Taikai tournament in a new trailer for “Cobra Kai” Season 6 Part 2, which will drop on Netflix on Nov. 15.

The trailer shows the group landing in Barcelona, Spain and the group entering the doors of the karate competition, where they’re set to face off against 15 other teams. In addition to new rivals, Miyagi-Do will also deal with the fallout of Tory Nichols (Peyton List) defecting to Cobra Kai, while also fighting to stay united as internal rivalries bubble to the surface.

Do we really need a three-part final season of “Cobra Kai”? Netflix thinks so.

Trailers-wise, we are officially two-thirds of the way through the sixth and final season of the “Karate Kid” sequel series, which started way back in 2018 as a YouTube Premium show. Remember those days?

Since then, “Cobra Kai” has settled in nicely at Netflix. It’s a reliable series, though not an all-timer.

Netflix just released the first batch of photos from Cobra Kai season six part two. The new photos show Miyagi-Do out of the Valley and onto a bigger stage at the Sekai Taikai. The photos also provide our first look at Sensei Wolf, played by Lewis Tan (Deadpool v. Wolverine).

“Cobra Kai” never dies…until it does. Part 1 of the sixth and final season of “Cobra Kai” — the Netflix hit set in the “Karate Kid” universe — has dropped, at long last. And this time, the drama revolves around the ultimate championship for the show’s characters, at the international karate tournament, Sekai Taikai.

The catch is that only six of the Miyagi-Do fighters can make it to the world competition in Barcelona. Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), Tory (Payton List), Samantha (Mary Mouser), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), Hawk (Jacob Bertrand), Devon (Oona O’Brien) and the rest of the karate crew will have to battle it out.

Meanwhile, Kreese (Martin Kove) and Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) are also set to head to the Sekai Taikai, with their own vicious fighters from their Japanese team, the Kreese’s new generation of Cobra Kai competitors.

In a twist that caught many by surprise, Cobra Kai’s star actress Peyton List asserted her relationship boundaries, rebuffing she ain’t interested in dating Leonardo DiCaprio. She firmly stated already having a boyfriend, showcasing her loyalty for her relationship while also maintaining professional integrity.

“The Karate Kid” sequel spinoff series, which stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprising their franchise-leading roles, will return for its sixth and final season on Thursday, July 18, with the first batch of episodes in a super-sized season.

When Cobra Kai premiered on YouTube Red back in 2018, few would have guessed quite how popular the show would become. What began as an affectionate, ‘by the fans for the fans’ legacy show grew into a behemoth that has become one of the biggest shows on Netflix.

What makes Cobra Kai so successful is that creators and writers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg give Ralph Macchio and William Zabka – reprising their roles of Daniel and Johnny – real character development and story arcs. The “Karate Kid” story just won’t stay down on the mat.

On Monday, Netflix released the trailer for the first part (of three!) of the final season of “Karate Kid” sequel series “Cobra Kai.” There’s kicking and punching and board-breaking (and one 4×4 karate-chopped in half) and all of that, but the preview’s cliffhanger teases the uncovering of Mr. Miyagi’s buried secrets. And we do mean buried — they’re in a clearly constructed crawl space under the floor in what appears to be Daniel-san’s (Ralph Macchio) dojo. There’s even a giant non-flush pull ring on top. We guess the Larusso’s never vacuumed.

Speaking of, what is next for Miyagi-Do/Cobra Kai/whatever the hell they’re calling themselves these days? Well, after several films and five seasons of television across two streamers (“Cobra Kai” was originally a YouTube Red series), we’ve finally moved on from the All-Valley Tournament.
