Carol Benjamin

Carol released in 2024 the telefilm Unbowed (72', 2024), a project she created in an anthology format and for which she invited four debut directors, under her curation, editing and general supervision. The film has just premiered at Rio de Janeiro Intl' Film Festival 2024. Her latest work was the fiction streaming series The Life Ahead (an Original Globoplay with 10EPs of 30' released in 2023), in which she is credited for creation, production, screenwriting and editing direction. Her debut film as a director, I Owe You a Letter About Brazil (88', 2019), was awarded at prestigious film festivals, as IDFA 2019 and It's All True 2020, among others. Carol also produced and co-wrote feature documentaries like Divine Divas (110', 2017), Brazil's most-watched documentary that year, which garnered numerous awards, including the SXSW Audience Award and the Grand Brazilian Cinema Prize for Best Documentary and Best Editing in 2018, among many others.
