Lydia Indjova is an award-winning Bulgarian actress with Russian roots, based in Luxembourg. In 2022, she landed a leading role, a mother seeking revenge for her deceased daughter, in the debut feature film of the Oscar-nominated director Cyrus Neshvad, celebrated for his short film The Red Suitcase (2022). Prior to this, she gained local popularity in Bulgaria for her role as Darina, a smart but shy archaeologist turned brilliant drug dealer, in the romantic-comedy Sunny Beach (2021).
Having graduated in 2008 from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, Lydia Indjova has since contributed to over 40 film and TV projects and participated in 20 theatrical productions. She navigates English, French, Bulgarian, and Russian through diverse projects such as the Luxembourgish series Capitani (2019), available worldwide on Netflix, the Belgian Oscar-Shortlisted short film May Day (2017), the internationally acclaimed Norwegian TV series Okkupert (2015), and the comedy film Un jour mon prince (2016) where she shared the screen with the French star Catherine Jacob.
