Tatsu Carvalho is an actor and producer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With an acting degree from the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, NY, he recently shot episodes for two TV shows in London, HBO Max's It's A Sin, created by Russell T. Davies, as well as Netflix's award-winning show The Queen's Gambit. He now stars in the upcoming Prime Video Original Lov3, set to premiere in late 2021.
He stared in Paramount's original series As Seguidoras and will also be in Season Two of Arcanjo Renegado. Tatsu also had a recurring role on the kids' hit show DPA - Detetives do Prédio Azul as Arthur, Detective Max's father. He was also cast in the first two seasons of award-winning series Sob Pressão as neurosurgeon Rafael. On the big screen, he has worked both nationally and internationally, including movies such as Red Brazil, alongside Stellan Skarsgard, Mato Sem Cachorro, Ninguém Entra Ninguém Sai, A Floresta que se Move. He has worked on over 15 soap operas and TV shows in Brazil and overseas, including titles for all major networks including Globo, Record, SBT, as well as streaming services. On the stage, he produced and starred in the first Brazilian adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, to great critical acclaim, as well as starring in over 12 other productions. He has worked under some of the greatest Brazilian directors, including Andrucha Waddington, Vinicius Amorim, Mini Kerti, Pedro Amorim, Heitor Dália, Vinicius Coimbra, Mariana Youseff, Gustavo Bonafé, Mauro Lima, Alexandre Avancini, Tomás Portela, VIvi Jundi, José Henrique Fonseca, Gilberto Gawronski, Victor Garcia Peralta and João Fonseca.
