- TriviaRiver Zain Ceballos decided to become an activist after his main role in the music video "Sing For Me" for pop-punk band Yellowcard and his story of his past hardships sparked world wild applause from people of all ages. River said that this is when he knew that he had a big enough platform to use his name for good. Since 2012, he has spoken on behalf of and worked with organizations such as My Life My Power, The Jed Foundation, Love Is Louder, The National Eating Disorders Association and Men Get Eating Disorders Too based out of the U.K. River frequently films PSA's, talks publicly in the media and has written articles for magazines and websites explaining his past struggles with depression and self harm as well as an eating disorder. He has been recognized as one of the first male public figures to talk openly about struggling with body image issues in young men. River started his own non-profit titled the "Cali Misfits Collection" in 2012 and part of his earning usually go to organizations of his choice. River was born "Eric Rio Ceballos" but later changed his name to River Zain Ceballos. Rio is Spanish for River and it is the name of his biggest influence, the late River Phoenix whom Ceballos stated that he owes his whole career to.
