I think sometimes I can be a little bit detached from the songs that I know will be hits because they're less personal. Sometimes I can tell when I'm writing catchy melodies and stuff and I'm proud of it. Although, if there were an actual formula for it, I'd be loaded by now.
Music is the only thing that is going to be there for me, no matter what. So when I finish a song, I love it and I play it out loud. It's the best thing I've ever felt. Better than love, I think.
