José is an award-winning-actor and writer. He was born and raised in the South Bronx of New York City to Puerto Rican Parents. José's passion for acting started when he was cast as a lead in a Spanish version of "The Wizard of Oz" at his Elementary School. Jose went on to perform in various school plays and upon graduating South Bronx High School he was cast in The Arts in Counseling team with the NYC Board of Education. Where he toured NYC high schools, putting up Musicals written, choreographed and composed by the team themselves. He continued his studies at Lehman College located in the North Bronx, Where he graduated with a BA in Sociology and a Minor in Theater. During his studies at Lehman, Jose wrote and performed his Award winning solo show entitled "Father Forgive Me For I Have Sinned."After completing his BA, Jose moved to Los Angeles to continue his studies as an Actor. He was accepted into a two year intensive Meisner Technique program, at the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting studio in Hollywood. He worked on a few TV shows including "Samantha Who" Starring Christina Applegate & Melissa McCarthy. "The Forgotten" Starring Christian Slater & Rochelle Aytes. Living in Los Angeles has sparked an interest in producing his own work.
