Taralee moved to St. John's Newfoundland in the summer of 2021 when the boarders to Newfoundland reopened during the Covid 19 Pandemic. She immediately began working on the television series Astrid and Lilly Save the World and realized the crew worked feast to famine and there was a need for independent film.
In the early months of 2022 Taralee took a leap of faith, relying on the partnerships she had formed in Ontario and launched her film production company in St. John's. She has since produced 11 films in St. John's Newfoundland for several networks including, Hallmark, Lifetime and W Network.
Beacon produced with MarVista is a testament to the strength and endurance of the crew, as they battled the wild and natural elements, filming on the peninsula in Ferryland at a real light house. The weather and force of the ocean is something to be reckoned with as the cast and crew filmed practically in gale force winds, rain and fog. In addition, all the sailing and beautiful ocean scapes were filmed on open water with an elite stunt and rigging team to give Beacon the authenticity that it truly deserved. Taralee and her crew are extremely proud of the work they did to bring Beacon to the screen
All this being said, Taralee has embraced St. John's and Newfoundland and now considers this her forever home and she is actively contributing to the economic growth and job creation within the film and television industry of Newfoundland and is developing and producing several more productions in St. John's. She is excited to work with more producers and creatives to embrace the rewarding film incentives of the Province.
