Sunil Prem Vyas is an Indian award winning film maker and actor, known for feature film "Take it Easy", which received 'Dadasaheb Phalke Janmaboomi Puraskar 2016. Also, best known for portraying 17 characters in his debut film 'The Artist Within' (Cannes fame).
In 1997, he kept the foundation of Darpan Theatre Group which has staged more than 17 plays written by eminent playwrights like Jorge Bernard Shaw, Vijay Tendulkar, Ratnakar Matkari, Moliere, Mahesh Elkunchwar and Sunil Prem Vyas himself. Eventually, Darpan Theatre Group evolved into Darpan Theatre & Cine Arts (DTCA) as a film production house, which made films like 'The Artist Within' (Cannes fame), 'Galti Se Mistake Ho Gayi' and 'Gandhi Ki Zameen Par'.
Sunil is a promising name in Indian stage & cinema. His debut movie as writer-director 'The Artist Within' (Cannes fame) has a very unusual concept wherein 2 actors portray 22 characters in a one-night story. 17 of these characters were portrayed by Sunil himself.

In Short film The Terrorist (Waapsi the return), he played role of a Kashmiri terrorist, which has been showcased at international film festivals and has received appreciations from late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (former president of India).
In movie 'Gandhi Ki Zameen Par', he portrayed the lead protagonist as a journalist caught in communal riots. The movie is also written and directed by him and was showcased in Rome Film Festival 2012.
Sunil Prem Vyas is well-known in Mumbai theatre world. He has been one of the youngest theatre directors in Mumbai. He kept the foundation of Darpan Theatre Group at the age of 17. After graduating from University of Mumbai, he did Diploma in Acting from Roshan Taneja's School of Acting. Sunil has worked with most of the prominent theatre groups in Mumbai such as IPTA, Ank, NatyaShaala and NatyaBhoomi.
Also he has acted in 8 Tele-Serials and scripted 5.
