- Actor
- Director
- Writer
Born in Saint Louis, Missouri and raised on the outskirts of a small
town in Southern Illinois, Benjamin is the youngest of three brothers.
Though he spent much of his younger years acting in home movies
produced with his brothers and cousins via the use of a bulky VHS
camcorder, it wasn't until his later years in high school that the
acting bug bit and he began seriously pursuing a career as an actor.
After deciding where to attend college on a coin toss he was off and
running. First attending John A. Logan college in Southern Illinois on
a theatrical scholarship. It was here where Ben learned the
fundamentals of stage craft and began fine tuning his abilities. During
his two years at this school Benjamin participated or appeared in
nearly every performance the school put on. He became adept at set
building and prop making so much so that his carpentry skills were
often lent to local theater groups as much as his ability to perform on
stage. After completing two years at JALC he followed in the footsteps
of his brother Nathaniel and attended Southern Illinois University at
Carbondale. It was at SIUC that Benjamin became noted for his comedic
timing and earned the privilege of being selected for programs by The
Second City in Chicago, Illinois as well as Herbert Berghof Studio in
New York, New York. After completing college in 2009 Benjamin moved to
Hollywood, California and began chasing the dream.
