Verenice Buerling was born in Cologne, Germany to a German mother, Jeanette Buerling and a Turkish father, Ertan Oezguenaydin.
In 2000, after winning the green card lottery, her mother moved Verenice to Studio City, California, to further pursue her career in film production. Verenice recorded her first song at the age of 13, and this song was also placed in a Disney ABC picture starring Melissa Joan Hart. She continued to place her music in films during her later teenage years. She released her debut album "Perfectly Imperfect", recorded at EMI studios in Cologne, in 2007. She spent time working with Kool and the Gangs as a singer/songwriter from 2007 to 2012. While attending UCLA, she also held an internship at Cutting Edge Media Music, one of the leading international full-service music providers. There she learned music supervision, clearance, and in this partnership, had the opportunity to have her music featured in various feature films such as "Dark Tide" (starring Halle Berry), "13" (Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke), "You Got Served", "Stomp the Yard" and more.
In 2010 she attended Musicians Institute, Hollywood to get her audio engineering certification. In 2012 she got her Bachelors Degree in Philosophy from UCLA. In 2013, her mother met her current husband and producer James Milio ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding", "The Dog Whisperer"). They got married in 2014. Verenice moved back to Germany to work with artists in the top-eight of the show, "The Voice of Germany". She specialized as a songwriter by putting extra emphasis on pronunciation, slang, and coaching artists who needed help with delivery during the recording sessions. She was cast in "Deutschland Sucht den Superstar" (the German version of "American Idol"), but ultimately turned the position down due to her previous engagements with "The Voice". Verenice has been building her music library for years and goes on to music supervise several projects on Bravo, Discovery Channel, etc. Her music continues to be placed all over film and TV regularly over these years. She has written songs with artists like Rae Sremmurd (Swae Lee), jazz singer, Maya Fadeeva, and Def Jam artist, Saint Bhodi, just to name a few. In 2022 she began writing songs for Rare Behavior, and for popular brands such as Mattel and American Girl. She is releasing a long-awaited second album in 2023. Her first single "Out My Mind" will be released in February of 2023.
