- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Writer
Kristoph Tassin began his path as director in environments with a high
emotional impact. In 1994 he was in besieged Sarajevo during the war in
the Balkans. In 1999 in Kosovo, one month after intervention by NATO
troops. In 2001 he was in Genoa during the G8 and in post-9/11 New
York. In 2003 he was in Iraq. The product of these travels is a series
of filmmaking works characterized by a very special search for images
and dramatic constructions, such as the addition of fictional elements
in real-life contexts or the creation of mockumentaries.
His commitment to carrying through personal projects characterized by narrative and dramaturgic research has led to shorts like Hate Me and 69Bites - in the official competition at the Turin Film Festival, the Sitges Film Festival and the São Paulo Film Festival - and It's ok it's me, winner of the Merano TV Film Festival for Best Script. Kristoph won the best scenario prize in 2003 at the "Italian Music Video Awards" with Al Mukawama, shot in Iraq.
Since 2009 Kristoph has been one of the directors of the Italian TV action drama Squadra Antimafia, which after four seasons in primetime has established itself as one of the most successful series among TV audiences. Squadra Antimafia is produced by Mediaset, Europe's second largest private TV group and one of the most relevant in terms of revenue in the global media market.
