Julie Bordelon is a freelance producer, consultant, and coordinator with over 15 years experience working in the film and music industry. During this time, Bordelon founded and is still the executive director of Southern Screen, a nonprofit organization that curates year-round events and educational programming, and an annual festival showcasing and cultivating storytelling through film, music, podcasts and more. She is also the executive director of #CreateLouisiana, a Louisiana nonprofit supporting indigenous talent and the entertainment industries through the use of grants and development programs. Bordelon is the owner of Pronounced Sound, a company that consults and supports artists.
Bordelon spent five years heading the Lafayette Entertainment Initiative, once a department of the Lafayette Consolidated Government tasked with assisting film, music, and digital media projects. Over the years she has worked on several feature films, commercials and music videos, tour managed multiple bands, and she has coordinated multiple events including the Louisiana International Music Exchange (LIME), the Louisiana Contingent event at Sundance and the Lafayette Live Official Sheauxkaze at South by Southwest (SXSW).
