Actor Alexander Albrecht's work includes the Sky Original series "Little Birds" by Stacie Passon (House of Cards, Transparent), the Netflix Original series "The Queens Gambit" by Scott Frank and the Ufa Fiction series "Ku'damm 63" directed by Sabine Bernardi.
Alexander is native in Swiss German and German, fluent in English, Italian and Spanish, with written text highly creative in French or any other accent or dialect, which enables him to move freely and playfully. Ultimately, this also benefits the design of his characters so that they can be filled with life and authenticity.
In addition to working in front of the camera, his heart beats for stage and theater. In January 2020 he premiered his mono-drama "The Shot" - Alexander Puschkin's classic directed by Lioudmila Meier-Babkina (Classical Stage Art Zurich) in St. Moritz & Zurich. In the same team in 2016/17 he played "White Nights" by a young F. M. Dostoyevsky on several stages and touched his audience with precise character work by the dreamer. Both projects were developed by Alexander and the Russian director as their own stage version and included an incredibly beautiful work process. The comparison of original Russian texts with the respective translations and the resulting dissection of the Russian soul was incredibly touching, philosophically deep and decisive for the work. Alexander was also regularly on tour with his two-man show comedy "The Mystery of Irma Vep", which was last shown successfully every evening in the main program at the legendary theater festival at.tension # 8 2019.
Together with Lucia Carreras and Machete Producciones, both former Camera D'Or winners (Cannes Film Festival) from Mexico City, he wrote and produced the short film "La Boda de Baba". With this bizarre work, in which he also played the main role, he was allowed to participate in many international festivals worldwide, but mainly in Latin America (Morelia, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Festival de Cine Cuba, Gässli). In addition giving him the opportunity to experience the different cultures, which shaped him deeply.
The screenplay "Brooklyn Treehouse", which he co-wrote with A. Edmondson, was awarded "Best Thriller" at The Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest in 2014.
He lives in Berlin and is represented by the German Talent Agency Das Imperium.
