Dylan Matzke(I)
- Actor
Dylan Matzke is one of the rising youth stars in the entertainment
industry today. His interest in acting emerged at the young age of six
when he began performing in school plays and children's theatre. It was
immediately apparent that he was developing a real passion for acting.
At age eight he was discovered by a local agent and began booking
multiple commercials in the Denver market to include Starz, Western
Dairy Association, Quiznos, Dish Network and Reebok to name a few. This
led him to Los Angeles in mid-2009 to pursue a career in television and
film.
By the time Dylan was all of 10-years old his talent and passion began to really show results when he booked a guest star role in the hit CBS drama Criminal Minds. That helped propel him into the career where he continues to grow today.
2010 was a busy year for Dylan. First he landed the series regular role of Martin Webb in an ABC comedy pilot, How To Be A Better American opposite Jason Jones as (Hugh Webb) and Missi Pyle as (Katie Webb). He then landed one of the lead roles in his first feature film, Little Red Wagon. Directed by David Anspaugh, Dylan worked alongside Frances O'Connor as (Margaret Craig), playing her son (Jim Craig). In this poignant and uplifting family film, the characters find themselves homeless after a series of unfortunate circumstances and battle to overcome their predicament. Dylan was honored to have the opportunity to play such a significant role in this project that was inspired by the extraordinary deeds of child philanthropist, Zach Bonner.
In 2011/2012 Dylan continued to develop his skills while working on both feature and short film projects including a leading role in Snowmageddon, a feature film for the Syfy Channel.
In addition to pursuing his acting, you can find Dylan enjoying many other interests such as playing sports, skiing with his family, volunteering, writing short stories or just hanging out with friends. Acting though remains his passion and primary focus. Dylan continues to work on his craft, eager to expand on his career in the entertainment industry.
