Sean Canfield is an independent film writer, producer, and director who
has been writing in various capacities for different production
companies for the past 5 years. In 2008 he wrote, produced, and
directed a TV pilot called "Outside In" starring up-and-coming
recording artist Rae O'Rourke, shot on location at Verdugo Hills High
School in Tujunga, CA.
He has served in various capacities on many different films, including writing and starring in the shockumentary "As Good As The Gun: Winchester Revealed" filmed on Halloween night in 2005 at the Winchester Mystery House in his hometown of San Jose, CA.
Sean was instrumental in the creation of Seidl Corporation, an independent production company that has been operating in Los Angeles since January 2006. His first feature screenplay "Violent Desires" is in pre-production. As of 2009, he has been working exclusively with Infested Films, helping out on the first two shorts for the company, the body horror short "The Morning After" and the supernatural thriller "Theodore" starring Lloyd Kaufman.
Sean produced, wrote, and directed a segment of the feature anthology "Dead On Appraisal" the first feature film from Infested Films, released on DVD and VOD in April 2014, with a limited theatrical run in September 2014.
As of March 2015, Sean is finishing up his first novel, producing 'A Wedding' for director Jay Sosnicki, as well as making a documentary about the city of Huntsville, Alabama called 'Rising South'.
